Welcome to Goodstart Bedford Park

Located on Kaurna Country in Adelaide's southern suburbs, Goodstart Bedford Park is a small, welcoming early learning centre where children are known, supported and encouraged to explore at their own pace. With just 60 places, our experienced educators can build strong, meaningful relationships with children and families, creating a genuine sense of belonging. Conveniently located behind Sturt Police Station, near the Tonsley train line and just off Sturt Road, we're well placed for families working locally, including at nearby hospitals. What makes our centre special: 

• Small, welcoming 60-place centre – creating a close-knit environment where educators can genuinely get to know each child and family. 
• Nurturing Nursery for children aged 0–2 – giving babies more time to build secure, trusting relationships with familiar educators during these important early years. 
• Natural, spacious outdoor environment – giving children room to move, explore, investigate and build confidence through active, play-based learning. 
• Experienced, longstanding educators – with 5–10 team members who have between five and 20 years of service, providing children with consistency and familiar relationships. 
• Multicultural and inclusive community – educators speak languages including Hindi, Arabic, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese and Thai, helping families feel welcomed and represented. 
• Bachelor-qualified Preschool teacher – supporting children's learning and development as they build the skills and confidence for their transition to school. 
• Weekly extra learning experiences – including Happy Feet every Wednesday and Soccer Joeys, adding movement, music and physical activity to children's week. 

Our child-led programs are guided by the Early Years Learning Framework, with educators responding to each child's interests, strengths, ideas and individual stage of development. Children can explore engaging indoor environments and large, natural outdoor spaces, with opportunities to build independence, creativity, physical skills and connections with the natural world. 

Families value our caring team and the relationships they build with children, while our smaller centre size helps create a warm and familiar atmosphere. Fresh, nutritious meals are prepared onsite, with everyday essentials including nappies, wipes, cot linen and sunscreen provided to help make life easier for families. Our diverse community also enriches children's learning, helping them experience different languages, cultures and perspectives as a natural part of their day.
