About Goodstart Chelsea Heights
Goodstart Early Learning Child Care centre Chelsea Heights is a purpose built centre located amid retail outlets, close to local schools and transport – making it a convenient daily drop-off and pick-up point.
We have three rooms, ranging in age from six weeks to five years. Our centre provides individualised programs for Nursery, Toddler, Prekinder and Kindergarten / Preschool.
Inside, all of the rooms - from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool - are all set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities. Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning; and we are focused on ensuring the children are ready to take that all important step up to school.
Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family events and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.
Outside, we have age appropriate play spaces and equipment, all geared to enhance the children’s awareness of their surrounds and the greater environment, as well as their understanding of the importance of sustainability. With a decked-in sandpit, rockery, bridges, dry creek bed, swings, mud kitchen, vegie patch, our pet chickens and an outdoor classroom area, we have plenty to keep busy learners entertained.
Our centre provides five meals throughout the day including breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and late snack. These healthy meals are all prepared at the centre by our qualified cook.
Each room has qualified early childhood staff working with the children to encourage and develop all areas of learning. Your child will be introduced to a wide variety of learning experiences both indoors and outdoors in a safe, supervised and fun environment.
A major focus for our centre is how working with the broader community can help us enrich the children’s learning experience. Through visits to the centre as well as excursions and participation in community events, we are able to deepen the relationship between the centre and the community, while teaching the children about being a contributing and active member of society.
Drop in and say hello! We would love to make you and your family welcome and the centre and discuss how we can start your child on a journey of lifelong learning.
