Sarah Beattie Centre Director
Hi there, my name is Sarah Beattie and I am the Centre Director here at Goodstart Frankston South – Stotts Lane.
I’ve been an Early Childhood Educator for over 16 years and have spent the last 8 years performing multiple leadership roles within Goodstart. I hold a Diploma in Children’s Services (Early Childhood Education and Care) and hope to further my studies into Early Childhood Education.
At Stotts Lane we focus on building secure relationships, as we know these can have a profound effect on children’s learning and development. We draw on various Early Childhood theorists to ensure that we create and provide an inclusive environment for all families who walk through our doors. We encourage children, families and the wider community to be involved and contribute to the decision making in our Service using various methods to ensure we provide each family and child with a voice.
I would like to acknowledge the Boonwurrung people of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Owners of the land on which we work and play. I would like to pay my respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, their ancestors and the Elders past, present and future from the different First Nations across this country.
At Goodstart Frankston South – Stotts Lane we acknowledge the importance of connection to Land, culture, spirituality, ancestry, family and community for the wellbeing of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and their families. We endeavour to incorporate Indigenous perspectives into our curriculum for all children.
I look forward to meeting you and supporting you and your family on your journey into Early Childhood Education and Care.
