About Goodstart Glenwood Glenwood Park Drive
Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Glenwood is a long established childcare centre that has been educating children since 1994. We are close to the M7, within walking distance of public transport and close to the local shopping village. We are located five minutes from Norwest Business Park and Norwest Private Hospital.
Our aim is to provide high quality care and education to children in Glenwood and surrounding areas.
Our daily routine is flexible, in accordance with the weather, special events, and children's individual routines. The routine is focused on the Early Years Learning Framework and complies with the National Quality Standards for Early Childhood.
Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.
Our centre is accredited with the National Childcare Accreditation Council, is registered with NSW Food Authority to prepare and serve snacks and meals, and is licensed by the NSW Department of Community Services under the Children & Young Persons (Care & Protection) Act 1998 as a Centre-Based Children’s Service.
We provide an extensive school readiness program in our three to five year old Preschool room which develops the whole child. To support this we have an early literacy program that develops phonic awareness so that when children enter the school system they do so as independent and self-assured learners.
Outside, our playground areas are a balance of natural and manmade elements and play surfaces. We have carefully designed and planned spaces to encourage a stronger understanding of the environment and sustainability – while giving children the scope to explore, play and let their imaginations roam.
We have a small, intimate atmosphere with family grouping in the mornings and afternoons and a separate outside play area for the under two year olds.
Meals are prepared for the children by our trained cook and a range of dishes are available to suit all tastes, beliefs and dietary requirements. We have a variety of vegetarian and multicultural meals available for the children.
A major focus for our centre is how working with the broader community can help us enrich the children’s learning experience. The diversity of our centre’s family gives the children the opportunity to learn about cultural differences and tolerance.
Through visits to the centre as well as excursions and participation in community events, we are able to deepen the relationship between the centre and the community, while teaching the children about being a contributing and active member of society.
There is nothing more important to a parent and a family than the peace of mind that your child is in good hands. Come in and see how we can support you and your child on this all-important early years’ journey.
