Goodstart Harristown

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Harristown is located in a convenient pocket of suburban Toowoomba making it easy for families and taking the fuss out of the daily drop-off and pick-up. We are close to schools, shops and the city’s transport networks, but we enjoy a leafy and safe setting.
 
We are registered to care for 138 children, in fun and stimulating learning environments from Nursery through to Kindergarten. Our curriculum is developed in alignment with the Early Years Learning Framework, but we work with parents and families to ensure the children’s individual needs and interests are at the centre of the learning experience. We are also an EChO (Enhancing Children’s Outcomes) centre, which means our centre ensures early education is inclusive and accessible to everyone.
 
Our rooms are all carefully planned out in colourful, stimulating settings according to the themes and activities we are working through and, most of all, we foster a learning environment based on experience and fun.
 
Outside, we have very large play areas which can be accessed by all rooms. The open plan enables siblings to connect and play together throughout the day, while still assuring age-appropriate and safe settings for children of all age groups.
 
We have a vege patch, forts and spacious shaded grass areas and every aspect of the outdoor play environment is tailored to fostering play and sensory based experiences and learnings.
 
We work closely with parents to ensure open and clear lines of communication and in partnership we develop the highest-quality of early learning opportunities. Community also plays an important role in the experiences we offer our children through the centre. By participating in events such as the annual Carnival of Flowers, Multicultural Festival and Toowoomba Show, the children have the chance to engage with – and feel a part of - the broader community.
