Our purpose-built centre offers essential early learning care for local families. We have three spacious learning areas, all on one level, some with direct access to the playground.

Our Learning Spaces

Our spaces consist of three learning areas, Nursery, Toddler and Kindergarten. Each space is tailored to child-based learning and is guided with child-based interests. Our yards are newly renovated and are supportive of children’s physical and emotional well-being and development.

Tailored Early Learning Programs

Our programs cater to children from six weeks old to kindergarten age, based on the Early Years Learning Framework and tailored to each child's interests. We focus on sensory and play-based learning to support and promote your child's individual needs, interests, and strengths.

Nutritious Meals

Meals are prepared fresh daily in our commercial kitchen by our qualified chef. We provide a light breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and a late snack. We accommodate all types of dietary needs.

Included extras: We include a hat, t-shirt, sunscreen, and supply nappies for your baby whilst in our care.

Welcome to Goodstart Kyneton!

My name is Kelly and I have the honour of leading our multi-cultural and diverse community here in Kyneton, on the land of the DjaDja Wurrung and Taungurung peoples. With 20+ years of experience in early childhood education and care, I'm deeply passionate about creating an environment where every child can thrive and discover their unique potential.

My background
I began my journey as an educator 24 years ago at this very centre. I began as a supporting role in the Kindergarten Room before completing my Diploma of Children’s Services and moving into a lead educator role in the Toddlers Room. During my time at the service, I have held many roles, from educator, leader educator in each of the rooms, safety champion, educational Leader and most recently assistant director. These roles have all contributed to my passion for early learning.

My early childhood philosophy
I believe every child, family and educator deserves to feel respected, valued, nurtured and safe within our learning community. I am committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone is treated equally, celebrated for their individuality and supported to reach their full potential.

I value strong partnerships with families and recognise the importance of culture, identity, language and belonging. I am dedicated to ensuring every person feels culturally safe, accepted and empowered to be their authentic self.
Through caring relationships, play-based learning and reflective practice, I support children to grow with confidence, kindness and a lifelong love of learning.

At Kyneton, you and your child can enjoy the best of both worlds. Our early learning centre offers a Government-funded kindergarten program and long day care under the one roof. Our kindergarten teachers are University qualified and provide a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life.

With multi-child discounts and government funded Kindergarten/Preschool in some states, out-of-pocket costs could be even less than you think!

The above fees are effective from 7 July 2025 and are based on a 10 hour session, for attendance between 2 and 4 days per week. 5 day bookings receive a generous discount per day. Note that different combinations of sessions times and number of days can increase or decrease the daily rate.

* Estimates are calculated based on CCS rates as of January 2026, for an activity level of 72 activity hours on a 10hr session and a 3 day booking.
