Welcome to Goodstart Early Learning Lower Plenty.

At Goodstart Lower Plenty, our centre is dedicated to providing a nurturing and educational environment for children from six weeks to school aged.

We offer long daycare and kindergarten programs and our play-based learning programs are designed to promote:  

A child’s natural sense of enquiry
Literacy, numeracy and social skills
Creativity, problem solving and resilience

These are all critical skills needed for school and life. Quality play-based learning gives children hands-on exploration of the world around them.

Your child will have at least one key educator who takes them under their wing and really gets to know them. We keep families informed with regular updates on their child's progress and we welcome family involvement in our centre events and activities.

My Name is Claire and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart Lower Plenty.

Welcome to Goodstart Lower Plenty!

My name is Claire Thomas, and I have the honour of leading our homely and family orientated community here in Lower Plenty, on the land of the Wurundjeri people. With 15 years of experience in early childhood education and care, I'm deeply passionate about creating an environment where every child can thrive and discover their unique potential.

My background

I began my journey in Family Day Care which ignited my passion for early learning. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to spend time as an Educational Leader, Assistant Director and Centre Director.

My early childhood philosophy

I believe in play-based learning, children learning off each other and using play to explore, experiment, experience and develop. For me, it's all about all the relationships that are involved at a centre between children families and staff.

What I love most about Goodstart Lower Plenty

Goodstart Lower Plenty is special because we have a large block of land which a natural feel to it. Every day, I'm inspired by the smiles, laughter, and learning that happen within our walls.

As centre director, my door is always open to families. I'm here to ensure your child's experience with us is nurturing, educational, and fun. I believe in transparent communication and building partnerships with parents to support each child's journey.
