About Goodstart Miranda
Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Miranda is conveniently located between two train stations (Miranda and Caringbah), with a bus stop right at our front door. Our child care centre is in close proximity to Westfield Miranda, three local primary schools as well as Sutherland and Kareena Hospitals.
We have been a part of the local community for more than a decade, and almost all of our educators live within and are active members within the local community.
We provide care for children aged from six weeks to six years. Our centre has three spacious rooms however our groups are small.
As a centre family we have a diverse range of cultures, including Australian, Chinese, Brazilian, Korean, Vietnamese, Greek, Italian, Spanish and Thai. We encourage our children to connect with the history of the land and pay respect to the Dharawal people and all indigenous peoples of past, present and future.
We include this practice within our curriculum, and encourage the children to explore diversity and culture. We also build relationships with local inclusion support services and ensure every child is supported within our centre regardless of culture, disability, gender or religion.
All our educators are qualified in early education and show a true passion for working with children. We have a team of ten educators including one male educator. Our team works together to achieve the best quality education for the children at our centre.
Our play based, stimulating curriculum is based on the Early Years’ Learning Framework and our rooms – from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool – are all geared with this in mind. We also develop colourful, engaging programs accounting for each child’s individual interests, needs and strengths; and with each step we are ensuring the children are ready to take the big step into schooling.
This is made simpler through our intuitive Storypark platform, which enables us to maintain consistent and clear communications with families. That means we are better placed to support a child in their learning journey, ensure parents have peace of mind, and time stamp the children’s developments, milestones and achievements.
Outside, our playground areas are a balance of natural and manmade elements and play surfaces. We have carefully designed and planned spaces to encourage a stronger understanding of the environment and sustainability – while giving children the scope to explore, play and let their imaginations roam. Our gardens, and natural and cultural elements throughout the playground encourages respect for the natural environment, and teaches children to engage with the natural environment and show appreciation and care.
We also have a cook on premises five days a week and we provide breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack. The meals that we provide are healthy and nutritious and we also cater for children who have allergies to certain foods.
Community is also important to us and through visits to the centre and participation in events and activities throughout the year we are able to enrich the learning experience. Art and music experiences are provided on a daily basis which allow the children to freely express their creativity.
We look forward to meeting you and your family soon! Come in and meet the team, take a tour and see how we can work together to give your child the best possible start in life.
