About Goodstart North Lakes College Street
Goodstart Early Learning North Lakes - College Street is a large 119 place child care centre catering for children aged six weeks to 5 years. We are conveniently located close to local schools and amenities, making the daily drop-off and pick-up simpler and stress free. Our operating hours are 6:00am – 6:00pm Monday to Friday and we are closed on Public Holidays and Weekends.
We are proud to be meeting the needs of the growing North Lakes community. Goodstart North Lakes College Street is a three-building centre consisting of a Junior Side, Senior Side and a second Kindergarten Room.
Inside, all the rooms - from Nursery to Kindergarten - are set up in accordance with an Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities. Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning. We also have access to iPads to enhance the learning experience.
Our Storypark platform, as well as regular information nights, Facebook, Instagram and emailed weekly wrap ups, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.
Outside we have 3 areas, all with age appropriate play spaces and equipment. Throughout our playgrounds we have a balance of natural and manmade elements and a host of equipment and experiences which test the children, help them develop and allow their imaginations to run freely.
Community is vitally important to us and through visits to the centre and participation in events and activities throughout the year we can enrich the learning experience. Art and music experiences are provided daily which allow the children to freely express their creativity.
We also have a Therapy Dog named Wayne who visits our centre regularly. Wayne is a retired Greyhound who has undergone intensive training to become a Therapy Dog and works together with us as part of our human canine Animal Assisted Therapy team. Research has shown that having animals incorporated within learning environments can assist to reduce anxiety, increase relaxation, increase social interaction and increase communication.
At Goodstart North Lakes College Street we supply nappies, wipes, sunscreen, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. All children will receive a hat and welcome bag on enrolment at our centre. We are a safe, security conscience centre with security pads (with codes) placed on all entrance doors.
We look forward to meeting you and working with your family to provide a learning environment that offers your child the best possible start in life.

Cherie Pizzano Centre Director
Hello and thank you for taking the time to enquire about our Centre.
My name is Cherie and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart Early Learning North Lakes College Street.
I am very grateful and feel extremely blessed to work in the child care industry and have done so for just over 17 years now.
I commenced my career in Child Care as a support educator, working my way through various rolls within the industry to my current role as Centre Director.
I have a beautiful 10-year-old boy whom I love to spend my time with outside of work.
We enjoy adventurous weekends where we like to get out and about in nature just as much as we enjoy indoor activities such as movies and games.
Being a mother is one of the most rewarding roles I am also grateful and blessed to have.
I’m passionate about the Early Learning Industry and believe in building trusting relationships with the children, families and the community and I hold an Advanced Diploma of Children’s Services.
Our centre strives to provide high quality education and care and our mission is to give each child the best possible start in life.
Our Vision at Goodstart North Lakes College Street is ‘I have a place where I can be me’.
