About Goodstart Pakenham
Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Pakenham is located in the heart of the Pakenham community precinct with close access to the shopping area, local schools, maternal child health centre, and the lake and local parks.
Our qualified educators are dedicated to delivering a high quality and developmentally appropriate, fun-filled learning program to all the children in our care. We offer a range of activities and programs to ensure each child is being challenged in all areas of their development.
Our centre features a library with books for the children to borrow out, a vibrant pet ownership program including blue tongue lizards and baby turtles to support our educational programs, and education in sustainable practices through the community vegetable gardens, herb gardens, and worm farm.
Our play based, stimulating curriculum is based on the Early Years’ Learning Framework and our rooms – from Nursery to Kindergarten – are all geared with this in mind. We also develop colourful, engaging programs accounting for each child’s individual interests, needs and strengths; and with each step we are ensuring the children are ready to take the big step into schooling. We are now offering kindergarten children with free swimming lessons, commencing 1 August at our neighboring facility, Cardinia Leisure Centre.
This is made simpler through our intuitive Storypark platform, which enables us to maintain consistent and clear communications with families. That means we are better placed to support a child in their learning journey, ensure parents have peace of mind, and time stamp the children’s developments, milestones and achievements.
Outside, our playground areas are a balance of natural and manmade elements and play surfaces – with sandpits, rock pool, dry creek bed, vege patches, worm farm, water tanks, mud patches, cubbies, bike path and lots of shade. We have carefully designed and planned spaces to encourage a stronger understanding of the environment and sustainability – while giving children the scope to explore, play and let their imaginations roam.
We also have a cook at the centre providing tasty and nutritious meals for the children when tummies start to growl.
Our families enjoy coming together on the many special occasions that we host, such as parent meet and greet days, annual end-of-year celebrations, Kinder Graduation Evening and Grandparent or Special Person Days. We also host a number of different fun days throughout the year such as pyjama day, footy day, St Patrick's Day, and World Environment Day.
We recognise the importance of collaboration with families. Boasting two parent-teacher interviews each year coupled with extensive portfolios assessing and celebrating your child’s achievements, you are always well-informed and surrounded by caring educators who are ready to listen.
We invite you to visit our centre for a customised tour where you will see our programs speak for themselves – from the quality environments to the children’s happy, engaged play.
