About Goodstart Semaphore Park
Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Semaphore Park is a small three room, 70 place centre. We are tucked into a lovely little part of our community, close to local schools, shops and residentials areas, as well as main roads and transport routes.
At Goodstart Semaphore Park our play-based early learning programs are delivered by experienced early childhood educators and teachers. We cater for children aged six weeks to five years, including a Government-approved Kindergarten program.
Our size means we can form strong close relationships with our families, which creates more opportunities to ensure our learning programs are tailored to your child’s individual interests, needs and strengths.
This is made simpler through our intuitive Storypark platform, which enables us to maintain consistent and clear communications with families. That means we are better place to support a child in their learning journey, ensure parents have peace of mind, and can track their children’s developments, milestones and achievements.
Outside, our playground areas are a balance of natural and manmade elements and play surfaces. We have carefully designed and planned spaces to encourage a stronger understanding of the environment and sustainability – while giving children the scope to explore, play and let their imaginations roam. Our large trees offer plenty of natural shade all year round.
We have a cook who provides three healthy nutritious meals per day, we supply all nappies, linen and sunscreen. All our new families are provided with a Welcome Park which includes a Goodstart t-shirt and hat.
A major focus for our centre is how working with the broader community can help us enrich the children’s learning experience. Through exploring visits to the centre as well as excursions and participation in community events, teaching the children about being a contributing and active member of society.
We invite you to book a tour and take a look around our centre, meet the team and explore how we can support your early learning journey. We look forward to welcoming you and your family! (If the tour times available don’t suit you or your family’s commitments please contact us to organise a different time).

Stacey Smith Centre Director
Hi, my name is Stacey Smith, I started my career in Early Years Education in Queensland in 2004. Because I am a nurturer, I believe all children have the right to a safe learning environment. I want to be part of making a difference in children’s lives, and our working families.
I hold my Advanced Diploma and I have been working with Goodstart Early Learning for over 16 years in various roles starting from a casual educator, educator, senior educator, educational leader, assistant director and now with last 5 years in the role of a Centre Director.
In February 2020 I returned to Goodstart Semaphore Park into my role as Centre Director from extended parental leave. I’m now looking forward to settling my own child into early learning and reconnecting with our long term families, and creating new trusting relationships with our newest families and children.
I believe that strong positive relationships between educators and families are extremely important. Here at Goodstart Early Learning our vision is for Australia’s children to have the best possible start in life, and purpose to ensure children have the learning, development and wellbeing outcomes they need for school and life.
We can achieve this together as you our families are a pivotal part of our service. You have the expertise, you know your child best, empowering and supporting you in your role as parents/guardians and working together we can enhance and support your child/ren’s development, their learning, and help build their sense of belonging to become their own confident self.
- Children are central to everything we do
- Families are our primary partners
- Being a valued member of the community
I look forward to meeting and welcoming you and your child to our team of educators and centre community.
