Goodstart Semaphore South is located near the northern beaches of Adelaide, close to local schools, community services, shops and transport routes.
We offer a relaxed and welcoming environment where professional educators foster childrens love of learning, friendship, imagination and discovery in a safe and caring environment.
Children who attend Semaphore South have access to quality and engaging early learning programmes that are planned to reflect individual learning needs and interests. Working together with families these programmes are supported and taught by qualified educators who have a passion for the care and development of children.
From Nursery to Kindergarten, we have set up a program in line with an Early Learning Framework that involves sensory and play based learning opportunities. Colourful, natural and stimulating surroundings ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop; we are focused on guiding and helping the children to take the all-important step towards school.
Our Storypark platform as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters enables us to stay in close contact with parents and families, guaranteeing our policy on open and clear communication. This is also a means to help tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interest and strengths as well as developing strong levels of cultural diversity in our centre.
Outside we have an age appropriate play space and equipment for both our age groups, all geared to enhance the children’s awareness of their surroundings and the greater environment cementing their understanding of the importance of sustainability for our future. We have sandpits in our outdoor areas which challenge the children’s physical skills in large open spaces with lots of shade, reflecting the community which we live in.
With many of our educators living locally or having worked in the centre for several years, Semaphore South Goodstart has a strong bond with many of the families and businesses across the Port Adelaide and Semaphore area creating a district community feel.
Through key partnerships and development of skills and talents of our families and the broader community, we are able to enrich the children’s learning program with “real life” visits and incursions along with exciting visits to locations within the community.
We invite you to
