Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Springvale is located in a commercial precinct close to community amenities, public transport and road networks and within a reasonable distance of local schools and shops.
To us, every child is important. Our aim is to encourage your child’s individual potential, providing them with the opportunities to learn and grow in a fun and educational environment.
Our Centre has 42 licensed places and have three rooms – Nursery, Toddler and Kindergarten / Preschool.
We have high quality and receptive programs for children in line with the Early Years Learning Framework – all of which provide rich learning experiences developed through a strength/interest based approach as we view children as capable, competent learners/contributors and acknowledge them as active participants in learning.
We offer valuable educational sessions for the children by the relevant professionals from the local community and also organize parent information sessions to cover the essential topics related to the family’s needs.
Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.
Outside, we have age appropriate play spaces and equipment, all geared to enhance the children’s awareness of their surrounds and the greater environment, as well as their understanding of the importance of sustainability. We have sandpits, vege patches, a compost bin, tan bark area, worm farm, and lots of shade.
All meals are prepared on site by our qualified cook who uses tasty, fresh and nutritional ingredients – just the thing to keep hungry tummies satisfied.
Springvale is a diverse and multicultural suburb.
Our families represent a wide range of cultures and backgrounds. So too, our educators, who are fluent in the local community languages which are Chinese, Vietnamese, Cambodian, Singhalese, Bengali, Telugu, Hindi and Tamil. This is one of our strengths as we have translators available at our Centre throughout the day to support the children and families.
Community is also important to us and through visits to the centre and participation in events and activities throughout the year we are able to enrich the learning experience. Art and music experiences are provided on a daily basis which allow the children to freely express their creativity. We offer a variety of experiences and events that celebrate our children's cultures. These include Australia Day, Chinese New Year, Vietnamese Mid-Autumn festival, Cambodian Royal Ploughing day, Eid – Muslim festival, Indian Deepavali and many more.
Our community presence has been heightened through our service which was awarded with the ‘Healthy Children Award’ by the City of Greater Dandenong Healthy Together Program.
We would welcome the opportunity to meet with you and your family and learn a little about how we can best support you on the journey of lifelong learning.
