About Goodstart Taree
Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Taree is a spacious, purpose-built centre located in a residential area close to local schools, shops and community facilities. We have plenty of room for children to explore and discover.
Located in beautiful Taree we are lucky to be close to the CBD, which is convenient for working parents but far enough away to escape the hustle and bustle. We are also nearby to Bunnings and have plenty of convenient parking.
Our dedicated educators ensure that the daily program, which is based on the Early Years' Learning Framework, is focused on the children's needs and interests, including age appropriate activities to help the children be all they can be.
Many of our team have lived at Taree for most of their lives, and are very much part of the local community. Some educators have been at the centre for up to 10 years and are well-qualified with a mix of early childhood teachers, diploma and certificate trained educators, trainees and our cook.
The outdoor play space is full of trees, bushes, vegetables, sand and dirt, giving the children many hours of fun. We have sandpits, natural and manmade play surfaces, garden beds, undercover verandah, vege patch and lots of shade.
We provide balanced meals for the whole day with a varied menu prepared daily by our cook. For those families who need help with transportation, we also offer a bus service to pick up and drop off children.
The partnership between families and our centre is very important to us and we work hard to develop good relationships with families. We love to involve the families in the activities at the centre in a way that is comfortable for them.
Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.
We have had great participation from families and extended families on days such as Australia Day, Chinese New Year, NAIDOC week, Red Nose Day, Grandparents’ Day, Bandana Day, Clown Day and many more. We are also lucky to have wonderful community support and have regular visits from the Fire Brigade, Police, Pacific Smiles (dental talks) and more to help our children decide on what they will be when they grow up. Of course most would rather be teachers just like us!
We invite you to come and visit our centre to meet our team and to see for yourself our commitment to your child’s early learning journey.
