High quality early learning: Spotlighting the 2025 Goodstart Centre of the Year
Skilled educators and teachers shaping futures every day.
Welcome to Goodstart Prairiewood, where children are supported to grow, belong and thrive in a warm, inclusive learning environment. Located on Darug land and close to local schools and transport, our centre brings together a rich and diverse community of families and educators. Through play-based learning and strong relationships, children build confidence, curiosity and a sense of identity. Book a tour to experience how we support every child’s unique journey.
What makes our centre special:
Each day, children are encouraged to learn through play in environments that support imagination, creativity and independence. Our educators design meaningful experiences that reflect children’s interests while supporting their development across all areas of learning.
We are proud to support a diverse community, including families from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. This creates a rich learning environment where children develop respect, empathy and an understanding of the world around them.
Strong relationships are at the heart of our centre. With many educators having been part of the team for over a decade, families value the consistency, care and genuine connections that support children to feel safe and secure.
We work closely with families and external support services to ensure every child is given the opportunity to succeed. Whether building early friendships or preparing for school, children are supported every step of the way.

I have worked in Early Childhood Education and Care since 1992. Starting out as a fresh and enthusiastic Certificate 3 Educator. Graduating from TAFE NSW with my Diploma in Children’s Services in 1998, with my cup full of ideas and practices that I was ready to develop and implement.
After graduating and gaining a role as a Room Leader within a Nursery, I assumed the role for 18-months, where during this time an opportunity presented itself and I was offered the role as a Centre Director. From this moment on I have supported and guided teams to inspire and guide children aged between 6-weeks to 6-years, working collaboratively with families and the wider community.
As Centre Director, I aspire to offer an inclusive and individualised program in a safe and welcoming environment, where each child is a person first and is respected for who they are. I welcome all people with differences into the centre, with the ambition that each child will enjoy their journey of growth and development while fostering confidence and self- worth.
I believe that strong relationships with children and families are the foundation to the practices at the centre. Establishing authentic partnerships with families ensures each child’s needs, both care and educational are met, with the expertise of a highly qualified team working in collaboration with families, the experts on their child and child’s first teacher.
With a continuous strive for excellence my work with children, families, the community and in leading the educative team is informed by evidence and research, with centre practices reflected on to ensure they are contextual to our families and community.
I invite you to come and visit Goodstart Prairiewood, see our curriculum in action and meet our wonderful team of educators
