We’re proud to serve the children of our diverse community on Kaurna land and we can’t wait to show you around.

Our centre has four rooms: a beautiful nursery for babies, a toddler room for children aged 2-3, and two preschool classrooms. Why not book a tour and see for yourself?

You’ll find us off South Road, next to Edwardstown Primary School, close to Castle Plaza, Woodlands Park Train Station, and Ashford Hospital.

We prioritise building strong relationships with our children and families. During your tour, you’ll experience our supportive environment. We’ll encourage your child to familiarise themselves with their new room and our friendly educators.

Our experienced team includes four longstanding educators, helping to provide familiar faces, continuity of care and a stable environment for your child.

We have two qualified teachers who bring expert knowledge to our educational programs. Our multicultural team speaks many languages, including Cantonese, Chinese, Hindi, Mandarin, Punjabi and Spanish, helping families from diverse cultural backgrounds feel welcomed and at home.

Our strong preschool and school readiness program helps children build the confidence, skills and familiarity they need for their transition to school. Our connection with neighbouring Edwardstown Primary School includes transition-to-school visits, helping children become familiar with the school environment before they take their next big step.

Children need to feel safe and supported to learn and grow, so we promote key educator relationships between our educators and children. Your child will have at least one educator (their key educator) who takes them under their wing and really gets to know them. 
Our Key Educator relationships help children form secure attachments. Educators work closely with smaller groups and individual children to better understand each child. These relationships lead to improved outcomes for children as we foster more communication between families and educators. 
We inform families regularly about their child's progress and welcome family involvement in our centre events and activities.  
At our Melrose Park centre, we're proud to inspire your child's love of learning with the support of our passionate and qualified early childhood experts. Teachers with bachelor's degrees run our preschool program, so children can be well on their way to excellent learning outcomes by the time they start reception.

Our daughter has only recently started childcare, so the transition has been tricky for all involved. Bronny and Katrina have worked so hard to ensure that she is safe, happy and having fun. We appreciate all of the hard work so much, and especially appreciate your time and kindness during handovers. It’s been an emotional time for all of us, but you have made it much easier. Thank you!

Hi, I am Taranjot Kaur the Centre Director here at Goodstart Melrose Park.

I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education, and with over 10 years of experience in early childhood education, I bring a deep passion and strong leadership to this role.

Over the years, I’ve worked as an Educator, Lead Educator, Assistant Director, and Centre Director, giving me a well-rounded perspective on how to create a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging environment for both children and educators.

I strongly believe that building meaningful relationships with families and children is at the heart of maintaining a supportive and connected community. Please don’t hesitate to pop in, say hello, or ask me any questions about your child’s journey—I’m always here to help.

Structured Preschool Program

At Melrose Park, you and your child can enjoy the best of both worlds. Our centre offers a preschool program and long day care under the one roof. Our preschool teachers are University qualified and provide a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life.

With multi-child discounts and government funded Kindergarten/Preschool in some states, out-of-pocket costs could be even less than you think!

The above fees are effective from 6 July 2026 and are based on a 10 hour session, for attendance between 2 and 4 days per week. 5 day bookings receive a generous discount per day. Note that different combinations of sessions times and number of days can increase or decrease the daily rate.

* Estimates are calculated based on CCS rates as of January 2026, for an activity level of 72 activity hours on a 10hr session and a 3 day booking.
