Backing people to lead the way: Meet our WA State Manager, Joelene Brown
We’re proud to announce Joelene Brown as Goodstart’s State Manager for Western Australia
Located on Yuggera and Turrbal Country in the Metroplex Business Park, Goodstart Murarrie is a purpose-built early learning and childcare centre with a strong connection to the local community.
Backing onto a beautiful nature reserve, our centre gives children opportunities to explore spacious natural environments and build curiosity, confidence and a connection with the world around them.
We're conveniently located close to the M1, with plenty of onsite parking to make daily drop-off and pick-up easier for families. Book a tour to meet our longstanding team and discover a centre that has been part of the Murarrie community for 22 years.
Children at Goodstart Murarrie are supported to learn through play, exploration and meaningful experiences that respond to their interests, strengths and individual ways of learning. Our experienced educators build strong relationships with children and families, creating the security and sense of belonging children need to confidently explore their world.
The natural setting is a special part of life at our centre, with our bushland backdrop, Bush Kinder experiences and monthly Kindergarten nature walks creating opportunities to observe wildlife, investigate the environment and learn outdoors.
Families particularly value our educators, facilities and excursions, reflecting the combination of experienced people and engaging learning opportunities at our centre. With 22 years in the Murarrie community, we bring together deep local experience and a diverse team committed to helping every child thrive.
Take a tour to explore our centre, meet our educators and see how Goodstart Murarrie can support your child's early learning journey.

I have proudly worked in the early learning sector since 2000, beginning my journey as a trainee and progressing through roles as an assistant manager before becoming a Centre Director in 2010. Over the years I’ve gained hands‑on experience across all age groups from birth to six, and my Bachelor of Teaching has equipped me with a deep understanding of early childhood pedagogy and high‑quality educational practice.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of leading teams through quality improvement journeys to meet—and exceed—the National Quality Standards. I believe strongly that the strength of a centre lies in the strength of its team. I am genuinely excited to support and empower the dedicated educators at Murarrie as we continue striving to provide the very best outcomes for children and families.
I recognise that families are a child’s first and most important teachers. Because of this, my door is always open. I value genuine partnerships with families and will always make time to listen, collaborate, and support you. The relationships I build with children, families, educators, and teachers are what make my work so meaningful—every day, I learn just as much from you as you do from me.
On a personal note, I’m a mum of three and relocated from Victoria to Queensland in 2023. Outside of work, you’ll often find me exploring local op shops, enjoying art, or immersed in a good book.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me.
Kelly
