Goodstart Wynnum West - Wondall Road

We refer to our community of children, families, friends and team as Wonderful Wondall.
We are located in an old weatherboard house, turned church, turned day-care which means that ‘Our Little Crooked House’ feels like a cosy and safe home away from home where laughter is encouraged, forming deep relationships is the basis of our philosophy and a love for learning filters into everything we do.                                    

Our centre caters for children aged from six weeks to school age across four rooms. As well as all being first aiders, the early learning professionals at Goodstart Wondall Road are all qualified and experienced so they are able to provide your child with quality early learning experiences. Our centre is a small service with a maximum of 55 children attending per day. This unique setting makes us very family-oriented.

Our play-based curriculum is based on the Early Years’ Learning Framework within all our rooms. We work hard to develop colourful, engaging programs accounting for each child’s individual interests, needs and strengths.
Our Kindergarten room works closely with the local schools to help our Kindy children get ready for ‘big school’ and our Early Childhood Teacher hosts a mini school fair annually so that our families can meet Principals and Prep teachers in our local area as we are lucky to be spoiled for choice.
 
Our yard wraps around our building and is utilised in our indoor/outdoor education program, provides space to run and play, has shade sails, sandpits and all sorts of outdoor equipment. The playground areas are wonderful environments for your child to explore their physical and social development as well a fun space to get in touch with nature and indulge in messy play.

Creating a natural and sustainable environment is important to the team at Goodstart Wondall Road. Your child will be encouraged to help tend a worm farm, a herb garden, to learn about recycling and, coming soon, a bush tucker garden. The produce from the herb and bush tucker garden will be used in the centre’s food and cooking experiences.

We are a full-service Centre which means that all meals are prepared on site by our qualified cook who uses tasty, fresh and nutritional ingredients. Nappies are also provided for children attending the nursery, toddler and pre-kindy rooms.
