Goodstart Glenorchy is conveniently located on the main road in Glenorchy, close to shops, schools and public transport. Our child care centre is purpose built and provides fantastic facilities and resources.

Over time we have formed a wonderful team of professional educators who have a passion and interest for working with children. Our educators have qualifications ranging from Certificate III in Children's Services to a Bachelor of Education.

Our centre offers an educational program which caters for every age and developmental ability. We believe that every child achieves at their own pace and it is our role to educate and encourage them to reach their full potential. Our program integrates a range of learning areas through individual, small group and whole group activities.

Our opening hours are from 7:00am to 6:30pm. We have five rooms and cater for children from the ages six weeks to five years.

Hello, I’m Haley and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart Glenorchy.

I have proudly led the Goodstart Glenorchy team as Centre Director since January 2026. I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and have over 10 years’ experience in the ECEC industry. I have worked in a variety of roles including Educator, Senior Educator, Assistant Director and now Centre Director, with my experience spanning across all age groups from birth to five years.

My values:
I am dedicated to supporting children’s learning and development in environments where their safety and wellbeing are always the highest priority. I strongly believe that effective safeguarding practices are essential to helping children feel secure, respected and confident to learn and grow. My approach centres on building genuine, trusting partnerships with children and their families, creating a nurturing and supportive space where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential.

A little more about me:
Outside of work, I value spending time with my family and friends, particularly my two beautiful godchildren. I enjoy getting outdoors with my dogs, Whiskey and Rumi, going for walks on the beach and adventuring along bush trails. I love camping and exploring the hidden gems around Tassie. I am also a wildlife carer passionate about rescuing and rehabilitating injured or orphaned native Tasmanian wildlife.

With multi-child discounts and government funded Kindergarten/Preschool in some states, out-of-pocket costs could be even less than you think!

The above fees are effective from 7 July 2025 and are based on a 10 hour session, for attendance between 2 and 4 days per week. 5 day bookings receive a generous discount per day. Note that different combinations of sessions times and number of days can increase or decrease the daily rate.

* Estimates are calculated based on CCS rates as of January 2026, for an activity level of 72 activity hours on a 10hr session and a 3 day booking.
