About our centre

Goodstart Hobart's wonderful team of early childhood professionals work in partnership with families and the broader community to provide an environment that is inclusive, respectful and accepting; where all children will develop a sense of belonging and connectedness.

Our child care programs aim to extend each child’s learning and knowledge by offering experiences directly related to individual interests and needs. Children are provided with the opportunity and freedom to explore independently, be creative and initiate further experiences.

Goodstart Hobart recognises that the well being of the whole child is important and promotes this by offering a range of outdoor and physical experiences within the community.

Welcome to Goodstart Hobart! I am thrilled to introduce myself as the centre director and extend a warm welcome to all new families joining our community.

My name is Jackie Grubb and I am honoured to lead our team of dedicated educators in providing a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for your child. With 26 years years of experience in early childhood education, I am committed to fostering a love for learning and supporting the growth and development of each child in our care.

At our centre, we believe in the power of play-based learning and create a curriculum that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction. Our goal is to provide the children in our care the best of early childhood education, focusing on the individual needs and interests of each child.

I am excited to partner with you on this journey and to build a strong relationship with your family. Your child’s well-being and happiness are our top priorities, and we are dedicated to creating a supportive and engaging environment for them to thrive.
