We're a safe, warm space for children and families in our community. Our dedicated educators value frequent, open communication to partner with you for your child's best interests.
Our multicultural, family-oriented centre supports children from nursery to kindergarten, with caring, long-serving educators who provide familiarity and continuity of care.
Many of our team members have been with the centre for over a decade – including our original Centre Director, who has been here since the centre opened 18 years ago.
We pride ourselves on our inclusive learning programs, strong community ties, and welcoming environment.

Children need to feel safe and supported to learn and grow, so we promote key educator relationships between our educators and children. Your child will have at least one educator (their key educator) who takes them under their wing and really gets to know them. 
Our Key Educator relationships help children form secure attachments. Educators work closely with smaller groups and individual children to better understand each child. These relationships lead to improved outcomes for children as we foster more communication between families and educators. 
We inform families regularly about their child's progress and welcome family involvement in our centre events and activities.

Hi, I’m Claire and I’m the Centre Director here at Goodstart Point Cook – Lemongrass. I have been the Centre Director at Goodstart Point Cook – Lemongrass since 2007.
I have a Diploma in Children’s Services and 28 years’ experience working in early childhood education. I’m passionate about creating a calm, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every child feels safe, supported, and able to learn and grow at their own pace.
One of the things I love most about my role is the strong community we’ve built here. Our centre is a welcoming, friendly place where children, families, and staff all feel connected and valued. It’s important to me that everyone—no matter their background or needs—feels included and respected.
When I’m not in the centre, you’ll find me keeping busy and active with my 3 children and my beloved Frenchie.
