Goodstart Claremont

I have been in the Early Childhood Education sector for approximately 17 years, and a part of the Goodstart family for an incredible 11 years. Over this time, I have built strong, lasting connections with children, families, and educators, always bringing warmth, dedication, and a genuine love for early learning.

I started my journey as a group leader at our North Hobart Centre, working her way up to become the Assistant Director, before moving on to become a Centre Director. 

For the past 5 years, I have led the Goodstart Blackmans Bay team as Centre Director. With care and commitment; I pride myself on leading my team with kindness and compassion, building them to a strong and united team, that ensures all children’s needs are met, and they have the best possible start to their learning journeys. 

During my time at Blackmans Bay, I guided the centre through Assessment and Rating (A&R), supporting the team to achieve excellence while keeping the focus on what matters most — creating a safe, welcoming environment where children have a voice and can thrive and where educators and families have a sense of belonging and feel at home. I often take on extra challenges to go above and beyond to support individual team members and families.

What inspires me the most in my  role is that “I love seeing the joy on children’s faces as they learn and grow, and I feel privileged to work alongside families and educators to create a community where everyone feels supported and valued.” 
Outside of  the centre I love to shop and spend quality time with my family, particularly  my Nephew, sharing in his love of basketball and soccer, watching and supporting him throughout his endeavours.
