From watching birds and rabbits to sharing stories with local Elders, every day is a chance to connect, discover and grow.
We tailor every learning experience to the child – whether it's quiet time with a book or an afternoon in the veggie patch.

At Goodstart Heidelberg, our philosophy centres around the belief that every child is a unique individual with their own interests and strengths. We embrace a play-based learning approach that nurtures curiosity and creativity, allowing children to explore their world in meaningful ways.
We prioritise:
Through our philosophy, we aim to create a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive and become confident, capable learners.
Children need to feel safe and supported to learn and grow, so we promote key educator relationships between our educators and children. Your child will have at least one educator (their key educator) who takes them under their wing and really gets to know them.
Our Key Educator relationships help children form secure attachments. Educators work closely with smaller groups and individual children to better understand each child. These relationships lead to improved outcomes for children as we foster more communication between families and educators.
We inform families regularly about their child's progress and welcome family involvement in our centre events and activities.
At our Heidelberg centre, we're proud to inspire your child's love of learning with the support of our passionate and qualified early childhood experts. Teachers with bachelor's degrees run our three and four-year-old kindergarten program, so children can be well on their way to excellent learning outcomes by the time they start school.
At Goodstart, we believe all children deserve the best possible start in life, which includes access to high-quality early childhood education and care. We offer:
We work closely with parents to ensure the individual needs, interests and strengths of children are considered, and our learning goals reflect them. Using Storypark, a wonderful communication platform, we stay in close touch with families and ensure you're well informed about your child's development and achievements.

With 18 years of experience in early childhood education and a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, I’m passionate about creating an environment where every child can thrive and reach their full potential.
My philosophy is built on the belief that every child is a unique individual with their own needs, interests, and strengths. As educators, our role is to provide an environment that supports, nurtures, and empowers children to be the best they can be. I believe a child’s first experiences in early learning should be positive, as these early moments shape their attitudes toward learning for life.
At the heart of everything we do are strong, meaningful relationships. I value building genuine connections with children, families, educators, and the wider community. These relationships foster a sense of belonging for children and families and create a supportive environment where educators can flourish too.
Outside the centre, you’ll often find me spending time outdoors with my partner and two children—whether at the park, the beach, or going for a walk. I also love cooking and sharing meals with family and friends.
As Centre Director, my door is always open to families. I’m committed to ensuring every child’s experience at Goodstart Heidelberg is nurturing, educational, and filled with joy. I believe in transparent communication and strong partnerships with families to support each child’s individual journey. I’m equally dedicated to supporting and developing my team, investing in their wellbeing, growth, and professional success.
Goodstart Heidelberg is a truly special place, where every family is greeted with warmth and positivity and encouraged to share their cultural celebrations. Each day, I’m inspired by the smiles, laughter, and learning that fill our centre.
I look forward to welcoming you and your family to Goodstart Heidelberg. Come in for a tour to experience the wonderful environment we’ve created together — a space where children feel safe, valued, and excited to learn.
