About Goodstart Melton High Street
Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Melton - High Street is located in a safe and quiet residential area, still conveniently close to local schools, shops and community facilities.
Our service caters for children aged from six weeks to six years, and provides a high quality early education program for all areas of your child's development. We have four individualized, age-specific classrooms to allow children to engage in play with their peers and to focus on age-appropriate development. We have two qualified Early Childhood teachers, with the majority of educators upgrading their qualifications to a higher level. All our educators are trained in first aid and have their anaphylaxis training.
Our play based, stimulating curriculum is based on the Early Years’ Learning Framework and our rooms – from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool – are all geared with this in mind. We also develop colourful, engaging programs accounting for each child’s individual interests, needs and strengths; and with each step we are ensuring the children are ready to take the big step into schooling.
This is made simpler through our intuitive Storypark platform, which enables us to maintain consistent and clear communications with families. That means we are better placed to support a child in their learning journey, ensure parents have peace of mind, and time stamp the children’s developments, milestones and achievements. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.
Outside, our playground areas are a balance of natural and manmade elements and play surfaces – with A-frame, sandpits, digging patches, cubby houses, vege patches, worm farm, forts, and lots of shade. We have carefully designed and planned spaces to encourage a stronger understanding of the environment and sustainability – while giving children the scope to explore, play and let their imaginations roam.
We pride ourselves on offering a fully inclusive program for all children and provide meals that meet dietary requirements. We actively promote healthy eating by offering fresh fruit and vegetables through the day and by growing our own seasonal vegetables. We provide four meals a day, all nappies, all linen and cow’s milk for the children.
Goodstart High Street believes in community and the that the strength of relationships within that community can help us enrich each child’s learning experience. We hold regular events and special occasions for the children and families to participate in including Diwali, Christmas Party, Easter Hat Parade, Djerriwarrh Street Parade and fundraising events such as Red Nose Day.
We also build strong connections with families and children through a Key Educator Approach. This approach assigns a key educator to every child and family.
We would welcome the opportunity to meet with you and your family and learn a little about how we can best support you on the journey of lifelong learning.
