We provide a warm, home-like early learning environment where every child feels safe, valued and supported.
Our long day care centre caters for children across two dedicated learning spaces comprising toddlers and preschool, plus sustainable outdoor gardens.
Passionate educators deliver our approved child-led, play-based curricula, facilitating meaningful experiences that help children thrive in confidence, curiosity, and resilience. Our programs are rich in sports, fitness, and music, tailored for little learners aged from 15 months to 5 years.

Children need to feel safe and supported to learn and grow, so we promote key educator relationships between our educators and children. Your child will have at least one educator (their key educator) who takes them under their wing and really gets to know them. 
Our Key Educator relationships help children form secure attachments. Educators work closely with smaller groups and individual children to better understand each child. These relationships lead to improved outcomes for children as we foster more communication between families and educators. 
We inform families regularly about their child's progress and welcome family involvement in our centre events and activities.

Centre Director
Hello there! My name is Nancy and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart Early Learning Merrylands.
My name is Nancy Fowler and I have the honour of leading a beautiful, warm and inclusive community here in Merrylands on Darug land. I have a passion for early education with a focus in inclusive practices to assist all children in reaching their full potential.
My background
I started my journey with Goodstart in 2007 after completing my Diploma in Children’s Services. Since then, I have expanded my knowledge and skills through on the job training and also through further study. I completed my Bachelor of Education in 2013 and have continuously improved myself within leadership positions.
My personal philosophy
I believe relationships with families, children and my team is the key to success. The first 5 years of a child’s life is crucial, and as an Early Childhood Teacher, I strive to provide all children what they need to succeed prior to them transitioning to primary school.
What I love about Goodstart Merrylands
Merrylands is such a unique and diverse centre. I love how as soon as you walk in the door, you feel a sense of belonging and are greeted with a friendly face and cuddles each morning.

As a Centre Director, I aim to provide a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for every child and their family. I aspire to offer an inclusive and individualised program where allied health professionals are welcomed into our space to assist your child and our educators in implementing inclusive practices to assist all children.
