About our centre

Goodstart Early Learning and Child Care Centre Lynbrook is located in the heart of Lynbrook, within walking distance of Lynbrook Shopping Complex, the newly opened Lynbrook Community Centre, Primary Schools, Parks and Public Transport.

We are very diverse and multicultural, with our educators able to communicate with most families who walk through our door. Communication is key for us, whether it be through our newsletters, communication books, daily programs, phone calls, emails and of course our one-to-one conversations every day.

Inside, all of the rooms - from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool - are all set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities. Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning.

Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.

Outside, we have three areas all with age appropriate play spaces and equipment. We are very proud of our newly refurbished playgrounds. With a balance of natural and manmade elements, our children have every opportunity to explore and challenge themselves while being led by their imaginations. We have sandpits, water pump, lots of shade and heaps of room to run around and explore.

All meals are prepared on site by our qualified cook who uses tasty, fresh and nutritional ingredients – just the thing to keep hungry tummies satisfied.

Community is also important to us and through visits to the centre and participation in events and activities throughout the year we are able to enrich the learning experience. Art and music experiences are provided on a daily basis which allow the children to freely express their creativity.

We enjoy our special days throughout the year, pyjama day, grandparents’ day, footy day and special dress up days. We want to see your children happy and healthy, participants in the community and overall enjoying their time while they are with us, as we all know the first 5 years are the most crucial in your child’s development.

We are always attuned to the local activities in the area. Our vision is to strive to empower our children to become successful members of our community.

We offer orientation to all new families, to ensure the bond is built between your child, our educators and your family, so please come and play whenever you would like to visit.

Hello, my name is Carissa and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart Lynbrook. I have been working in the Early Learning Sector for 30 years and hold a Diploma in Children’s Services and current First Aid and Anaphylaxis certificates.

As an Early Childhood Professional as well as a mother and grandmother, I understand the importance of building strong partnerships with families and shared decision making to ensure the best developmental outcomes for children.

I believe that every child should have the opportunity to access a quality Early Learning Program.
