A multilingual team – Our educators speak Vietnamese, Arabic, Bengali, Chinese, Greek, Gujarati, Hindi, Japanese, Mandarin and Punjabi, helping us connect with and reflect the diversity of our local community.
A diverse community – Families from Australian, Indian, Nepalese, Vietnamese, Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and Filipino backgrounds are part of our centre community.
A large outdoor yard – Children have space to explore, move and play in our large natural outdoor environment, which includes a treehouse, swings and a pool available for children aged 2–5 years each week.
A family feel – We value the strong relationships between children, educators and families and aim to create an environment where children feel a sense of belonging.
Recent improvements – Our centre has had internal and external painting completed, helping maintain welcoming spaces for children and families.

At Goodstart Berrimah, children are active participants in their learning, with educators supporting and extending their interests, ideas and development. Through play-based experiences, children have opportunities to explore, investigate, make choices and build confidence and independence. Educators get to know each child and use their interests and strengths to help shape meaningful learning experiences.
We value positive relationships and partnerships with families, recognising the important role families play in their child's learning and development. Our approach supports children's social, emotional, physical and learning development while encouraging curiosity, friendships and a love of learning. As children grow, these experiences help build confidence and skills for a positive transition to school.
Our Kindergarten program is delivered with the support of two Bachelor-qualified Kindergarten teachers. Through play-based learning and engaging experiences, children can build confidence, independence, communication and skills for learning. Educators support each child's individual development while creating opportunities for children to develop the skills and relationships that contribute to a positive transition to school.
Our diverse community is an important part of everyday life at Goodstart Berrimah. The different cultural backgrounds and languages represented among our educators and families provide opportunities for children to experience and learn about different cultures and perspectives.
We also offer incursions and excursions, generally for Kindergarten children, including experiences such as Desert Blue story time and police visits. These experiences are offered occasionally, with the centre also holding multiple family-inclusive events throughout the year. The timing varies depending on the experience, with incursions and excursions generally occurring every 3–4 months.
Families can stay connected with their child's learning and experiences through Storypark, our online learning portfolio. Our onsite qualified cook prepares fresh and nutritious meals each day, catering for dietary requirements, while meals, nappies, wipes, cot linen and sunscreen are provided at no extra charge. Secure digital sign-in and sign-out kiosks also provide convenient access to the centre.

My name is Amy, and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart Early Learning Berrimah.

I am very passionate about early learning and providing children with the best start in life by supporting children to develop in their own unique way within a meaningful and engaging learning environment.

I have been working in the early childhood industry for 13 years and have worked in communities across the NT, ensuring children receive the care, support and learning opportunities they need to thrive. I have been working with Goodstart Early Learning since September 2023 and have experience working across all age groups from 0–5 years. I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.

Here at Goodstart Berrimah, we are fortunate to work alongside a well-experienced and highly qualified team who all share a passion and drive to provide children with the highest quality of care, learning and development.

With multi-child discounts and government funded Kindergarten/Preschool in some states, out-of-pocket costs could be even less than you think!

The above fees are effective from 6 July 2026 and are based on a 10 hour session, for attendance between 2 and 4 days per week. 5 day bookings receive a generous discount per day. Note that different combinations of sessions times and number of days can increase or decrease the daily rate.

* Estimates are calculated based on CCS rates as of January 2026, for an activity level of 72 activity hours on a 10hr session and a 3 day booking.
