About our centre

Welcome to Goodstart Middle Ridge!

Our beautiful centre has 5 rooms, ranging from Nursery through to Kindergarten. In each room we have dedicated educators that consistently work to create a meaningful, child-centred curriculum to support our little one’s learning journey. Our room ratios are:

Nursery 1- Ages 6 weeks to 15 months, 1:4 ratio

Nursery 2- Ages 15 months to 2 years, 1:4 ratio

Toddlers 1- Ages 2 years to 3 years, 1:5 ratio

Kindergarten 1 and Kindergarten 2- Ages 3 years to 5 years, 1:11 ratio

We have two large playgrounds that include multiple sandpits, a swing set, sensory gardens and lots of room to run and play!

We are deeply committed to the safety of our children, staff and families, and we work to ensure the best possible experience for our little learners.

Christine Gourlay

Centre Director

I would like to introduce myself, my name is Christine, the Centre Director at Goodstart, Middle Ridge.

I am the mother of 3 lovely girls who are 23, 20 and 10 years old. I also have two beautiful little puppies called Logan and Lucas. While I was born and spent much of my early years in Toowoomba, I grew up on the Gold Coast. My husband and I returned to Toowoomba 6 years ago and have fallen in love with the region. We enjoy camping, 4WDriving, fishing and going on cruises in our spare time. I am Christmas obsessed so be ready… hehehe.

I have a Bachelor of Education (0-5years) and have worked in Early Childhood Education and Care for more than 16 years. I am excited to be starting with Goodstart and am looking forward to jumping in to leading the team of educators and meeting all of the children and families from the service. I am passionate about building strong relationships, embracing diversity and embedding a culture of continuous learning.

My first day is at the service will be on the 18/12/2023 and I am excited that I get to share Christmas with you all. When you see me in the service, please feel free to stop me and introduce yourself.
