Hi, I’m Joanne and I’ve been with Goodstart’s Morningside Wynnum Road Child Care Centre, as Centre Director, since 2008. I hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (Honours) and have been working in early learning since 2004.

I’m passionate about teaching and this is why I chose to work in the early learning sector. I especially love teaching younger children and watching them make discoveries in learning for the first time. It is very exciting to celebrate their personal achievements and development with them.

I first decided to become a Centre Director to learn the business side of the industry and to pass my knowledge onto other staff, while still be involved in contributing to the children’s development. I love working at our centre because the staff are so friendly and supportive. Goodstart is a great organisation to work for because it is a not-for-profit organisation and, as such, it is focused on putting the children first.

I have two beautiful girls of my own and I get great pleasure in caring and educating them, and like all parents want to see my children reach their full potential by having the very best possible early learning experience.

Our kindergarten teachers are University qualified and provide a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life.

With multi-child discounts and government funded Kindergarten/Preschool in some states, out-of-pocket costs could be even less than you think!

The above fees are effective from 7 July 2025 and are based on a 10 hour session, for attendance between 2 and 4 days per week. 5 day bookings receive a generous discount per day. Note that different combinations of sessions times and number of days can increase or decrease the daily rate.

* Estimates are calculated based on CCS rates as of January 2026, for an activity level of 72 activity hours on a 10hr session and a 3 day booking.
