We're a smaller, 75-place long day care centre.
We have a serene nursery for babies – our littlest learners, a toddler room, and two preschool classrooms. Our team would love to show you around. Why not book a tour?
You'll find us just past Jetty Road, on Brighton Road in Brighton, close to schools, shops, and transport routes. Our location is convenient for families working in the city and those who live near the beach.

Many of our staff have been with us for five to 15 years. Our centre director, Mel, brings 25 years of experience across Goodstart services.
Your child will love our nature space, which has plenty of resources and room to run, climb, and discover. Because our building is set back, children remain far from the main road when playing and learning in the outdoor areas. 
Our centre has also enjoyed recent renovations and new resources. We've had new paint, flooring, a shade sail, and educational materials and toys.

Our educators are always at the children's level, engaging calmly, respectfully, and empathetically. You'll notice calm voices, open body language, and a nurturing environment that puts children first.

Children need to feel safe and supported to learn and grow, so we promote key educator relationships between our educators and children. Your child will have at least one educator (their key educator) who takes them under their wing and really gets to know them. 
Our Key Educator relationships help children form secure attachments. Educators work closely with smaller groups and individual children to better understand each child. These relationships lead to improved outcomes for children as we foster more communication between families and educators. 
We inform families regularly about their child's progress and welcome family involvement in our centre events and activities.  
At our Brighton - Brighton Road centre, we're proud to inspire your child's love of learning with the support of our passionate and qualified early childhood experts. Teachers with bachelor's degrees run our preschool program, so children can be well on their way to excellent learning outcomes by the time they start reception.

I moved my son (2.5 years old) to Goodstart Brighton over a year ago after quite a negative experience at another daycare. I was extremely nervous about the transition but Mel and the team at Brighton made it super easy. My son absolutely loves it and is given the love and attention he did not receive at our previous centre. This centre is not the most convenient having to travel the opposite direction from my work/home each day. But it’s 100% worth the extra 15 minutes before and after work. Everyday before I pick my son up I watch him through the window smiling, dancing and having fun with his friends. 100% recommend.
I have worked in the Early Learning and Child Care sector for more than 20 years, and been with Goodstart since its inception. During my years in the sector, I have worked as an educator across all ages ranging from birth to five, taking on roles as Team Leader, Assistant Director and now the newly appointed role as Centre Director.
I am a mother to an amazing daughter and I am very passionate about early learning and watching children grow through the many opportunities provided to them in our centre.
I am supported by a team of professional, experienced educators and teachers who are dedicated to providing the best care and education for each and every one of the children we have the privilege of welcoming into our centre family.
