We’re an early learning and long day care centre built on Kaurna land, just off Sir Donald Bradman Drive, close to public transport, local shops and schools.
Our service has two nurturing nurseries for babies – our littlest learners, two toddler rooms, and two preschool classrooms. We can’t wait to show you around. Why not book a tour?
Each of our nature-inspired learning spaces has direct access to a landscaped outdoor environment. This design provides children with the opportunity to move easily between indoors and out.

Our multicultural staff speak many languages including English, so they can help families in our community settle in. We have Bengali, Hindi, Portuguese, Mandarin, Nepali and Arabic-speaking educators.
Most team members have been at the centre since it opened in 2020 and one of our teachers has been a part of the Goodstart family for over 20 years.

Our beautiful outdoor dining hub provides a dedicated space for meals with child-height servery, which allows our cook to serve and engage our children in cooking and preparing meals.
We offer many incursions, such as Happy Feet dancing, cooking with children, a library truck, a fire truck, and the local police. We also love involving our families, whether you'd like to read a story, share a special skill, or talk about your profession, you're always welcome to join us and be part of the learning experience.

At Goodstart Cowandilla, our philosophy centres around the belief that every child is a unique individual with their own interests and strengths. We embrace a play-based learning approach that nurtures curiosity and creativity, allowing children to explore their world in meaningful ways.

Through our philosophy, we aim to create a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive and become confident, capable learners. 
Children need to feel safe and supported to learn and grow, so we promote key educator relationships between our educators and children. Your child will have at least one educator (their key educator) who takes them under their wing and really gets to know them. 
Our Key Educator relationships help children form secure attachments. Educators work closely with smaller groups and individual children to better understand each child. These relationships lead to improved outcomes for children as we foster more communication between families and educators. 
We inform families regularly about their child's progress and welcome family involvement in our centre events and activities.  
At our Cowandilla centre, we're proud to inspire your child's love of learning with the support of our passionate and qualified early childhood experts. Teachers with bachelor's degrees run our preschool program, so children can be well on their way to excellent learning outcomes by the time they start reception.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Diploma in Early Childhood Education. I feel privileged to utilise my knowledge and skills to help young children explore and learn about themselves and the world around them. I love being part of the wonderful Goodstart Cowandilla community!
I believe that it takes a village to raise a child and that relationships built on trust lay the foundation for everything. I enjoy watching the children in our care grow and develop each day and there is nothing more rewarding than seeing a child learn with passion and wonder.

I'm always so impressed by the amazing array of activities provided by the amazing educators at Goodstart Cowandilla. We were uncertain about putting our child in at such a young age, but the educators at this centre have truly gone above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, and help our son develop.
