Goodstart Croydon South

Goodstart Croydon South is a bright and open centre, conveniently located near shops and the local school. Previously a dance hall, the building has lovely wooden floors, high ceilings and large rooms to cater for children six weeks to school age. Your child will have access to a variety of play and learning equipment in each of the rooms during their time with the centre.

Our dedicated, long -standing team of qualified educators have been teaching Goodstart Croydon South children consistently for years. Inquiry based learning approach

We believe in a holistic approach to children’s development, and practice an inquiry-based learning, tailoring our daily programs around the interests and needs of our little learners. Your child will be encouraged to learn through play and discovery by participating in a variety of activities from cooking experiences, to weekly music incursions. By participating in diverse programs at the centre, your child will expand on their mental, emotional, physical and social skills.

Where nature meets nurture

Nature has a large role in our teachings and our large outdoor play area is a wonderful environment for your child to explore as it features a garden, vegie patch and leafy trees. We are proud of our bush kinder program where we introduce our kinder children to natural environments and resources: including excursion to Chesterfield farms, growing our own vegetables and using them in meals, and participating in council incentives such as planting trees with Maroondah Council.

Strong relationships with families and our local community

• Qualified early learning professionals will work in partnership with your family to ensure the highest level of care and early learning is provided to your child. Our team value family participation. You are encouraged to participate in the daily programs at the centre such as art and craft activities, reading stories or hosting music and movement.
• We host events throughout the year for you to attend such as afternoon teas, dress up days, seasonal celebrations and graduation. 
• We know the importance of continuation of care and providing a smooth transition into primary school. At Goodstart Croydon South we have strong relationships with our local primary schools, which includes: local primary school visits for our kinder children and primary school choirs performing for our children in centre.
