We offer five dedicated learning spaces, each designed to cater to different age groups, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for every stage of your child’s development:

Hi, I’m Emily and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart North Melbourne.

I have the honour of leading our multi-cultural and diverse community here in North Melbourne, on the land of the Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung people. With 14 years of experience in early childhood education and care, I'm deeply passionate about creating an environment where every child can thrive and discover their unique potential.

My background:
I began my journey as a Certificate III educator supporting across multiple centres, which ignited my passion for early learning. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to complete my Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, lead nursery and toddler rooms and develop from Assistant Director to Centre Director.

My early childhood philosophy:
I believe all children families and staff should be nurtured, heard, and welcomed into a safe and happy centre. For me, it's all about ensuring children and families are included and feel welcome in a centre that is culturally safe for them.

At North Melbourne, you and your child can enjoy the best of both worlds. Our early learning centre offers a Government-funded kindergarten program and long day care under the one roof. Our kindergarten teachers are University qualified and provide a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life.

With multi-child discounts and government funded Kindergarten/Preschool in some states, out-of-pocket costs could be even less than you think!

The above fees are effective from 7 July 2025 and are based on a 10 hour session, for attendance between 2 and 4 days per week. 5 day bookings receive a generous discount per day. Note that different combinations of sessions times and number of days can increase or decrease the daily rate.

* Estimates are calculated based on CCS rates as of January 2026, for an activity level of 72 activity hours on a 10hr session and a 3 day booking.
